Sometimes Less is More
Thoughts on the Good Life is switching to monthly from weekly blog posts. I want to free up some time and some mental space.
I love my life, but it’s super busy. I tend to overpack my to do list, burn my candle at both ends, and long to be superhuman. But the truth is, sometimes less is more. So I’m simplifying and focusing on fewer things.
BUSY LIFE
I’ll explain why I feel this way. I have limited time and a full plate of responsibilities. I have a toddler, a husband, a full-time job, a commute, a house, and financial goals. I have my good health to maintain. I have family and friends. I have self-imposed projects, mainly my blog and my book project. I want to keep all these things, and I want them all to flourish and succeed, as I truly love them, but I want to simplify my interactions with all of them.
SIMPLE LIFE
I want to live a good, simple life. Right now, I want more nothingness. I want more silence, more sleep, more rest, more simple pleasure, more time in the sunshine, more empty space, more simplicity. So that’s my focus right now. Basics. Fundamentals. Nothingness. You can expect to continue to see lovingly-crafted Thoughts on the Good Life blog posts from me, but at least for now, just once a month.
I remain fully committed to maintaining Thoughts on the Good Life for the long run. I thank you heartily for reading and living the good life with me.
